If the URL for your Microsoft Dynamics CRM server has changed due to moving servers, or changing organizations, here’s how to make Outlook client plugin connect.

  1. Quit Outlook.
  2. Find The CRM Configuration Wizard (see below) or navigate to C:Program FilesMicrosoft Dynamics CRMClientConfigWizard on your computer.crm_server_url
  3. Launch the configuration wizard or run the Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.ConfigWizard application.crm_server_url_2
  4. Click “Add” and enter the new Server URL, username/password (you may need to click change to update your credentials) and Organization in the dialog. If this is your primary CRM instance, be sure to select “Synchronize with this Organization.”crm_server_url_3
  5. Click OK.
  6. Delete the old server and close the configuration wizard.
