Backup

Backup is triggered by an on-Demand workflow

To backup an entity

  1. Select the record that you wish to create a backup of
  2. Select run workflow
  3. Select the Backup workflow for the chosen entity

  4. Click Add
  5. Confirm application of the workflow
  6. Once the workflow is finished running, navigate to the Advanced Find Window
  7. Set the Look for to Snapshots and click Results
  8. A snapshot of that record will appear in the list

  9. Note: A record of the snapshot will also be stored as an Activity on the record for records that support activities.

 

Revert from Backup

From the snapshot created on backup, you can revert a record back to that copy.

  1. Select the snapshot that you wish to restore from
  2. Click the revert button on the snapshot
  3. Confirm that you wish to do this
  4. Note: The Rollback will null out values added since the snapshot was taken and revert back to values stored in the snapshot for fields that have changed since the snapshot was taken.

Clone from Backup

From the Snapshot created on backup, you can create a clone of the record

  1. Select the snapshot that you wish to clone from
  2. Click the Clone button on the snapshot
  3. Confirm that you wish to do this
  4. Note: A copy of the record will be created with “ – Copy” appended to the name to differentiate
