The entry-level Software Product Specialist will execute product trainer and client support roles. Initial tasks will include learning about our core applications, answering end-user support calls and e-mails, creating and resolving support cases and assisting with the creation of user manuals and test cases. Product knowledge gained in this capacity will lead to greater responsibility, in include training our staff, training clients on-site, researching and troubleshooting application errors and working with our development team to modify our software to meet client needs.
This full-time position will entail extensive interaction with our clients and staff. It is based at our headquarters in Old Town Alexandria. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 15% locally and 10% nationally.
Primary Duties
* Learn the intricacies of our core software applications from our staff and through formal training and self-study
* Answer end-user support calls and e-mails, create support cases and resolve those cases
* Train our staff and clients
* Test software to ensure it meets our client's documented needs
* Research and troubleshoot application errors
Secondary Duties
* Assist with documentation (user manuals, test cases, requirements)
* Collaborate with our Development Team on software modifications needed to resolve client issues
* Participate in welcoming and training new employees
* Learn and utilize additional software
Required Qualifications
* Great personality (patient, upbeat, friendly and professional)
* Organizational and task management skills
* Excellent communication and writing skills
* 1-3 years of work experience
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience with Microsoft Office Products
* Attentive to detail
* Fluency in English (written and oral)
* Experience contributing to a team
* Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

* Client or customer facing work experience
* End-user support experience
* Training or tutoring experience
* Familiarity with online collaboration, error reporting or content management tools
* Experience with Microsoft CRM, association management software or other CRM software and business intelligence/reporting tools
* Prior positions working with association or certification boards
