• Russell Inman, CEO

  As Cobalt CEO, Russ provides the vision and entrepreneurial spirit that drives the company. He draws upon 20 years of experience in technology and business to manage client and investor relations, general company operations, and strategic planning.

  Before serving as CEO of Cobalt, Russ worked on Capitol Hill and in investment banking. Russ has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting and a Master of Arts degree in international affairs both from Georgetown University.
  
  

• Chris Capistran, President

  Chris has been implementing management systems and providing strategic consulting in the association and certification industries for the past two decades. As president, Chris leverages that experience to drive Cobalt’s ongoing product evolution and innovation.

  Before serving as President, Chris spent the last 14 years as Cobalt’s Chief Operating Officer overseeing Cobalt’s consulting operations. Prior to joining Cobalt, Chris was the Director of Business Development and Marketing for a joint project between the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in international relations from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree in technology management and finance from the University of San Francisco.
  
  

• John Baker, Vice President, Business Development

  John joined Cobalt in 2003 and through his focused sales and marketing efforts, Cobalt has distinguished itself from the fray of DC technology services companies to emerge as the leader in certification management software and an internationally recognized name in Microsoft Dynamics CRM-based association management solutions. John is a CRM evangelist and active member of ASAE, ICE, CNG and ASPA.

  Before joining Cobalt, John spent many years in the government and media relations industry helping innovative DC area software companies Public Affairs Technologies and Vocus achieve success. John firmly believes that success comes from building and maintaining strong relationships and showing dedication to the community your organization serves. This belief and dedication has been a key to Cobalt’s success and the successes of our clients.

• Keith Robinson, Director of Consulting Services

  Educated at Georgetown University, Keith’s extensive consulting experience includes over 16 years of helping member-based organizations at several notable firms including (c) Systems and RSM McGladrey in a Team Lead role through full the full project lifecycle. At Cobalt, Keith has positively impacted every project with his project leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, understanding of users’ data system requirements, and mastery of the underlying databases.

• Peter Rossi, Director of Software Development

  Peter leads Cobalt’s team of in-house developers and has been with Cobalt for nearly nine years. His extensive experience architecting and developing enterprise-level database applications includes commercial media relations software, government relations software and PAC management software while working for Vocus and Public Affairs Technologies as well Cobalt’s line of web-based association and certification management systems. All of these systems feature extensive communications tracking and complex contact relationships necessitating advanced use of CRM databases, reports and system integration capabilities. Peter has extensive experience creating web portals and online member-service tools within content managed web sites for member-based organizations.

• Michael Ochs, Lead Architect R&D

  Michael is the technical lead for the Research and Development unit of Cobalt’s product development team. His approach to reusable, scalable and configurable solutions has made him an invaluable asset to Cobalt in the over seven years he has been with the company. 

  Michael has been an integral part of architecting Cobalt’s products and championed Cobalt’s platform independent approach to product development which allows for rapid adoption of new technologies and single point of integration with Cobalt products’ underlying platform. His background in developing software for Accounting and Sales organizations with a focus on integrating disparate systems gives him a unique insight into the systems that drive both the day-to-day activities of an organization as well as an organization’s revenue streams.
