Over the last 6 months Cobalt staff has been piloting the use of Adobe AIR for custom user manuals for our client's implementations. This pilot has generated great feedback and are now going to make this option available for to any new client that wishes to take advantage of this technology.

Adobe AIR applications run as standalone applications which allow for a faster user experience. The Adobe AIR technology allows for better version control, more rich user experience (leveraging this facet of the technology Cobalt uses embedded videos as well as Visio workflow diagrams), more comprehensive search, glossary (both in a glossary section as well as in-line definitions in the text itself) and print functionality.
