Consultant - We currently have an opening for an entry-level Consultant who will execute the business analyst and technical writer roles in support of the implementation of our products. Initial tasks will include working with other team members on our core products’ specifications and user manuals as well as documenting client-specific customizations. Product knowledge gained in this capacity will lead to greater responsibility, to include working directly with our clients. All candidates must be comfortable working directly with customers in a collaborative environment. About the position This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Old Town Alexandria. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 15% locally and 10% nationally.    Duties Collaborate with product and project managers to write and update product documentation (client business requirements, functional specifications and user manuals)  Learn the intricacies of our core products Assist with non-position specific tasks (functional testing, recruitment, website content, sales, database corrections, etc.)  Participate in welcoming and training new employees Develop business analyst and IT consulting skills   Required Qualifications   Bachelor’s Degree 1-3 years of work experience Experience with Microsoft Office products Fluency in English (written and oral) IT-related experience, skills or education Familiarity with software development (planning, design and/or programming) Excellent communication and writing skills Organizational and task management skills Experience contributing to a team   Desired Qualifications   Experience in the Consultant, Business Analyst or Technical Writer roles Experience with Microsoft CRM, association management software or other CRM software and business intelligence/reporting projects Prior positions working with associations or certification boards Client or customer facing work experience   Compensation Cobalt provides all employees with medical, life and disability insurance, a 401K plan and free parking as well as a relaxed work environment in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
